HOWARD McCONEGHEY (1920–2016)
Howard McConeghey was an art educator, artist, and practicing art therapist, noted for translating the ideas of Jungian and archetypal psychology into art education and art therapy.
This book taps into the ancient notion that the soul is always “seein” and making images, and images are a natural function of the psyche’s eye. Five principles are set forth how the natural eye and hand can free the uniqueness of one’s own vision and the soul’s joy in expression. Illustrations of paintings from therapy and art history make visible the principles as one moves through the book.
